In 1998 Mr Kataras published his first book The Global Village Information Poor- Greece Facing the Challenge of the Information Society, dealing with strategies for growth in the knowledge-based economy and how nations could avoid the Digital Divide phenomenon. (Greek language only)

The author, columnist and well-known analyst of technological issues Costas Kataras was a guest of journalist Giorgos Sahinis on the show "Antitheses" on KRITI TV, in a substantial and comprehensive discussion on the topic "Technology and Digital Totalitarianism – The double-edged sword of unrestrained technology".

"We need a more humane technology... Our world today depends more and more on technology, but we should also see it as a double-edged sword, which should not threaten the individual", emphasized Mr. Kostas P. Kataras during the presentation of his new book "Silent New World" at the Drosini Museum (Kifissia Municipality Library) on 8/6/2023.
The event, held under the auspices of the Municipality of Kifissia (Athens), was prefaced by: Diomidis Spinellis, Professor, Athens University of Economics and Business and Yiannis Baskozos, Journalist, "The Reader" magazine.
